Registered Vascular Technologist Job Description
The Registered Vascular Technologist must be able to independently perform all types of noninvasive vascular studies in accordance with accepted standards and protocols, including color duplex Doppler imaging of peripheral arteries, veins, bypass grafts, carotid arteries, abdominal vascular imaging including aortoiliac and renal artery duplex, and physiologic vascular studies including pulse volume recording and segmental pressure measurements. She/he will interact respectfully and compassionately with patients and other office personnel to ensure efficient laboratory operation and communication of critical results. Applicant must be able to recognize the significance of all structures visualized on the monitor and be able to differentiate normal from abnormal and recognize artifacts. Complete all finishing work to include proper film ID, requisitions, patient chart documentation and all forms required for the specific exam.


Job Requirements
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
Associates degree from an American Medical Association approved course in Medical Ultrasound o Must be certified in Vascular Ultrasound from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
MINIMUM WORK
Experience:
At least 1 year of experience as a Vascular Ultrasound Technologist is required.
REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, and REGISTRATIONS:
RVT ARDMS and CPR required.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
