Job Objective:
A brief overview of the position.
The Manager, Cloud and Data Center Operations is responsible for the oversight of cloud and data center planning, procurement, implementation, security (physical and cyber), protocols/processes, and Information Technology infrastructure in use by Eisenhower Health.
This role will help guide Eisenhower with a growing cloud presence to improve operations and disaster recovery capabilities.
The manager leads a team of system administrators that develops and carries out data center infrastructure technology projects, as well as overseeing data center, cloud and co-lo site services and logistics.
The Manager of Cloud and Data Center Operations is responsible for managing and maintaining server production including uptime, utilization, systemic technical issues and repairs throughout the Data Center environments.

Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Health, Science, Business; or HS diploma and an additional Four (4) years of related work experience.
Preferred:
Master's degree in Information Technology, Health, Science, Business or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Licensure/CertificationRequired:
Information Technology certification(s) in Epic or Project Management Certification(s) or other technologies (Virtualization, Cloud Computing, Networking, etc).
Preferred:
Secondary Information Technology certification(s).
Experience Required:
Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in information technology Critical Environment infrastructures (e.
g.
, UPS, Generator, Cooling) working in physical and virtual IT infrastructures (e.
g.
, Servers, SANs, Networking, Capacity, DC Rack/Enclosures, structured cabling) or Nine (9) years of progressively responsible experience in information technology without a bachelor's degree Preferred:
Supervisory experience or a functional leadership role and/or have managed other colleagues.
Essential Responsibilities1.
Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and Compliance Policies and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and reports suspected violations.

Manages projects by identifying and clarifying issues and priorities; communicating and coordinating requirements; evaluating milestone accomplishments and evaluating optional courses of action.

Ensure compliance with security polices and other regulatory guidelines.

Demonstrates effectiveness through decision-making, delegation and follow up.
Creates a supportive environment that promotes innovative employees and high morale.

Collaborates and coordinates with internal and external business groups to ensure the successful delivery of service levels.

Develops a qualified, engaged, certified staff to support the technical systems in production throughout the health system.

Assigns responsibilities, projects and tasks to staff reporting to this position, balances skills and workload of the group to ensure the best support and customer satisfaction.
8.
Supervises staff and manages employee performance; provides on-going performance feedback, addresses problems, orients and trains employees, verifies competency and identified and suggests ways to develop skills.
9.
Champions and promotes effective data center and cloud operations and process redesign with Eisenhower leadership.
Recommends improvements for budget, quality, disaster recovery, DC and cloud cyber-security and IT customer experience.
10.
Achieves management goals and responsibilities set forth by the Executive Leadership Team.
11.
Managing and overseeing datacenter (on-prem, co-lo & cloud) site services, logistics, and deployment.
12.
Maintains a secure data center and cloud environment.
Works with staff, IT Director, CIO and/or CISO to plan for improvements.
13.
Works closely with Information Systems management team to ensure unison across technology hardware, software and platforms.
14.
Communicates with customers on technical issues and needs and be able to translate those needs into appropriate business solutions.
15.
Lead operational and support aspects of Data Center and Cloud vendor/contracts, cost monitoring/control, communication plan and documentation.
16.
Works with vendors to determine, review and document acceptance of system changes.
Facilitates communications between IS Systems Administrator personnel and vendor representatives.
17.
Supervise maintenance, installation and updates of datacenter systems.
18.
Manage quality of operations, including patching, system updates, staff communication, push package creation and delivery.
19.
Track and manage compute, storage and networking resources to plan for reduction of technical debt.
20.
Maintain datacenter resources to provide virtual and physical capacity for current workloads and plan for future upgrades and onboarding of new applications.
21.
Provide plans and systems to allow the organization to recover from a data loss event or disaster recovery.
22.
Provide a process that ensures the security and integrity of the data stored within the datacenter facility (both on-prem and/or cloud).
23.
Performs other responsibilities as assigned.
