4 yrs as Medical TechnologistEssential ResponsibilitiesDemonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations.
Supervises, evaluates, counsels, and oversees training of section personnelOversees departmental workflow and directs resources for optimal turnaround times utilizing HLAB LIS tools (Order Monitor, Result Monitor)Develops, revises and maintains policies and procedures to meet CAP, JCAHO, and other agency requirementsPerforms and oversees evaluation and maintenance of new and existing instrumentation/proceduresSchedules section staff appropriately to achieve desired productivity standards in compliance with overtime and meal period goals.
Demonstrates strong leadership skills through appropriate delegation, customer service to internal and external clients, and modeling Performance Excellence behavior.
Manages departmental expenses through efficient staffing and prudent purchasing to achieve organizational goals.
Supervises analytical performance and quality in all areas of oversight.
Complies with hospital and Laboratory safety policies and proceduresComplies with all State, Federal, TJC and CAP regulationsPerforms all duties of section staff.
Performs additional duties as needed.
Develops and monitors quality control related to reporting departmentsDevelops QI monitors and puts measure in place to achieve goalsSupervises and collaborates with lead CLS to meet ensure productivity and quality standardsReviews, monitors and approves time cards.
Coaches/counsels staff for violations as needed.
